After succeed in Geomatics field, E&J Group move another step ahead to venture into agriculture field managed his subsidiaries E&J Agro Farm. Our subsidiaries focusing in farming and producing mushroom based product. We believe with the demand and capability of company, the aim to become major producer of mushroom based product in Malaysia will achieved by the year 2013

SUCCESSFUL ! MultiBeam Survey with QINSY + QLOUD Operations Workshop

21-23 February 2008, THE MINES Resort City, Kuala Lumpur : 19 participants have completed a 3-day QINSY+QLOUD+Multibeam Operations Workshop in Kuala Lumpur from 21st until 23rd February 2008 organised by SAFA GEOSCIENCE and QPS BV. It was in conjunction with ATOSSE2008, from 18th until 20th February 2008. The workshop was held at The Palace Beach and Spa Hotel. Participants were from various background, organisations and countries.

QINSy trainer, FRANS NIJSEN, was assigned by QPS BV to conduct the workshop, and assisted by EDDY JUNAIDY of SAFA GEOSCIENCE Malaysia.

The first day they were taught the importance of correct set-up and configuration within QINSy that will be used to acquire the multibeam survey data. The concept of “Do it right the first time” was emphasized. Each of them perform on their own the setup exercise in the provided notebook PC.

The second day was the day they were divided into three groups. Each group was given the opportunity to experience the multibeam survey operations on a ‘survey boat’ mobilised with QINSy, Kongsberg EM3002, Meridian Gyrocompass, TSS motion sensor and Veripos DGPS. This system was sponsored by MAJU GEOHYDRO Malaysia. The ‘survey boat’ was provided by The MINES CRUISE MANAGEMENT. With the setup, seven participants can board at one time.During this second day, the workshop managed to survey the whole North lake and confirmed the deepest point of the lake is about 95m (312 feet). Multibeam calibration (patch test) and QLOUD were taught on the last day in the classroom. They experience the calibration process using some examples provided and cleaning the multibeam data using QLOUD

Thirteen (13) SEAMAP’s survey personnel attended the 4-day training conducted from 12th until 15th February 2008



SAFARUDDIN started the training on the first day with basic concept of surveying using QINSy Survey. EDDY JUNAIDY, QINSy+QLOUD experienced surveyor from KERTAU RESOURCES completed the other remaining days with more details on operating QINSy Survey for a typical high resolution site survey project. Among other subjects taught were, basic interfacing sensors to QINSy, use of various built-in interfacing drivers within QINSy, setting-up project database, multibeam data cleaning using QLOUD and etc.
